LIVESTOCK OVERSEER - Oaklea Park Farm

Sparks Farming is seeking an experienced Livestock Overseer to manage operations at Oaklea Park Farm.
This role is responsible for the daily management of 2,500 breeding ewes joined to White Suffolk rams, along with oversight of our 2,500-head automated feedlot.

Key Responsibilities
•Manage 2,500 breeding ewes and support prime lamb production
•Oversee and maintain the automated lamb feedlot
•Maintain and upgrade livestock infrastructure, including fencing, water systems and equipment
•Work closely with the Farm Manager to support overall farm operations
•Assist with cropping activities during peak periods

POSITION 2: FARMHAND - Oaklea Park Farm

Your main duties will include but not be limited to the following:

• Assisting with the cropping program;
• Assist with hay, harvest and seeding program;
• Operation and basic maintenance of various other farm machinery, vehicles, tools and equipment;
• Carrying out general property maintenance and repairs;
• Some livestock work required.

To be successful you will ideally demonstrate:
• A genuine passion for the industry and working in a rural location.
• A strong work ethic and commitment to working safely;
• Some knowledge and experience in cropping;
• Competent operation of various farm machinery/equipment and carrying out basic servicing and maintenance;
• Basic mechanical and welding knowledge;
• MC or HC licence (desirable, not essential)
